Having a hurricane plan is critical for those living in areas that get tropical storms and hurricanes like in Florida.

A well-prepared plan can help ensure the safety of you and your family by outlining the necessary steps to take before, during, and after a hurricane.

This can include preparing an emergency supply kit, identifying evacuation routes, safeguarding your home, and having a communication strategy.

A hurricane plan can also reduce panic and confusion during the storm, allowing you to respond effectively and efficiently to changing conditions.

Furthermore, a good plan can help minimize damage to your property and expedite recovery after the storm.

Bob Bunting, CEO of the Climate Adaptation Center, also reminds you to make sure you know where you’re going to go. Where you’re going to take your car. Make sure your insurance is up-to-date and your papers are ready to go for when you’re ordered to evacuate.
